NOREEN SIBANDA, Registered Provisional Psychologist

As a registered provisional psychologist, I am often asked to describe my therapeutic  approach, this often means me reciting my resume (I do not want to bore you with it here as it’s about you). However,  the best adage that illustrates my approach is one by Theodore Roosevelt , “people do not care how much you know until they know how much you care”. This informs my daily practice, as my work begins with building a rapport with my clients.

As a person centered and strength-based psychologist, I want to know more than your current challenges. I take a biological, psychological and social (biopsychosocial) approach  and value each client’s world view and experiences. I am not afraid to walk along with each clients to uncharted territories at your own pace by employing solution-focused approach with amplifies your resilience and  inner strength.

I have a passion to work with individuals transitioning, couples and families. I have experience working in a school setting and in non profit organization helping diverse clients from all walks of life.

A little about me:

  • I love watching movies and enjoying quiet nights at home.
  • I also enjoy experimenting in the kitchen with new and old recipes.
  • Further, I can not turn down an opportunity to travel anywhere in the world.

I look forward to meeting you!

“Happiness is not the absence of problems, it’s the ability to deal with them.”
