Different people seek out therapy for individual work for a variety of different reasons. Regardless of the reason, they share one thing in common, they want things in their life to change. Change is an exciting, and at the same time, intimidating process to consider. When we begin the process of change, we can’t anticipate everything that will change as a result. How we feel about ourselves and our loved ones, how we participate in relationship, how we perceive the environments we inhabit, all of this can change but maybe none of it will. Entering therapy can be an uncertain process; but one filled with hope and possibility.
At Reframed, our Registered Psychologist are curious about you; your goals, your hopes and how you want to be present in your own life. With that information they work with you by meeting you where you already are and partnering with you on the journey to get where you want to go.
Your therapist will work with you to:
- Understand what is getting in your way of living your life as you want to.
- Set boundaries with yourself and others if necessary.
- Understand how the problem shows up in your life and where is originated.
- Examine helpful and unhelpful patterns.
- Change those unhelpful patterns into helpful patterns.
