My approach to therapy is through holistic, transformative change that is tailored to your needs and supported by clinical research. I aim to create a refuge where you and I can work together to navigate difficult experiences, tap into your inner wisdom, and develop personalized strategies for growth. I also value attending to the impacts of culture, which is informed by my BFA in Critical and Cultural Practices, the culturally responsive and socially just (CRSJ) counselling model, decolonial theory, and Indigenous Cultural Safety Training.

I use a blend of approaches that are relational, experiential, and embodied. This includes techniques from my training in somatic therapy, parts work (eg. IFS), and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) which are designed to move you into a greater sense of vitality, purpose, connectedness, and empowerment. I also use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for increasing mental flexibility, deepening resiliency, and supporting behavioural changes aligned
to your values.

When working with children, I primarily draw from play therapy, while also bringing a
strong relational and somatic foundation. I aim to attune to them in expressing their genuine selves, often following the child’s lead, while sometimes offering direction through effective play, movement, and art techniques, as well as collaborating with caregivers to support the best environment for their unique selves to shine and grow. Some areas of specialized interest for me are trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, high sensitivity (empaths), boundaries, perfectionism, 2SLGBTQ+ concerns, spiritual/existential exploration, psychedelic integration, and navigating life
transitions.

You and your little one already have everything in you to heal and flourish — my passion is joining alongside in a compassionate space while occasionally sharing guidance, skills, and a little bit of humour to invite innate healing to emerge.

  • A few things about me outside the therapy room:
I never turn down an opportunity for karaoke – I especially love belting out a good power ballad or a diva tune!
  • I’m a big ol’ curious nerd that loves studying psychology, philosophy, and spirituality, but I’m also the kind of nerd that loves video games on a rainy day and playing board games with friend.
  • My Husky-Lab, Rumi, is one of my greatest teachers and loves in life. He came into
my life right after a significant loss, so he was named after the Sufi poet who wrote
“you have to keep breaking your heart until it opens”.
